Pathways to Value-Promoting Value Analysis in Western Canada

 
On January 12, 2017, Value Analysis Canada – Western Group hosted its first monthly dinner presentation this year featuring a talk by Joseph (Jody) Snodgrass who currently serves as a managing director at Deloitte. 
 
Leveraging his vast experience in executing, managing, and supervising environmental, energy, utilities and infrastructure projects, Mr. Snodgrass talked about Deloitte’s application of the value analysis methodology and shared success stories. In addition, he touched on some possible ways to ensure project success and avoid setbacks while following value analysis principles.
 
The event took place at the Fantasyland Hotel at West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton. With attendees from provincial and municipal governments, as well as professionals and students, came out to the event.

In our next dinner presentation on February 9th, 2017 our guest speaker Holly Parkis, project manager with SMA Consulting, will talk about creative problem-solving with value analysis. In her presentation, she will delve into creativity-boosting techniques to complement brainstorming sessions as part of a value analysis workshop.
