Mushtaq Rabbi is an architect, a Registered Professional Planner (RPP), a Certified Value Specialist (CVS®) and a licensed trainer of Value Methodology, accredited by SAVE International, USA. He is a certified PRINCE2® Practitioner and a Management of Risk (M_o_R®) Practitioner by AXELOS, UK. His professional career spans over 25 years both in the public and the private sectors. 

Mushtaq's Value Management experience covers application in programs, projects and strategic plans for water/ wastewater and conveyance systems, waste management infrastructure, flood and storm water management systems, integrated civic and emergency facilities, transit and transportation infrastructure.

Instrumental in developing, establishing and running the Value Management program of one of the largest municipalities in Canada, he has also led, organized, coordinated and facilitated Value Management sessions for large infrastructure programs and projects. Results have been delivering effective solutions to serve citizens and stakeholders and assuring public officials of consideration of “value for money” options, while offering over a billion dollars (cumulative) of anticipated investment and expense avoidances or deferrals.

Mushtaq holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and a Master's degree in Urban Planning from McGill University, Montreal. He has been on the Board of Value Analysis Canada since 2011.

Rakesh currently works for Metrolinx, an agency of the Government of Ontario.   Previously, he worked for the Ministry of Transportation, Ontario for over 13 years. Rakesh has served on the Council of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), board of Engineers Canada and was appointed to the board of The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL), as part of the recent Governor in Council (GIC) appointments made by the Government of Canada. 

Rakesh also served as the membership director of the Greater Michigan Chapter of SAVE International and has been involved in the Value Society SAVE International.

Amin Sarang is PhD of Civil Engineering of Sharif University of Technology and DBA of Tehran University as well as frequent research associate at UBC. He holds MOD I & II and VMA certificates from SAVE-International. Moreover, he has professional licence of PEO & APEGNB.

Amin has almost 20 years experience in Civil projects and mostly around 15 years extensive experiences in promoting Value Engineering & Value Planning in his home country as well as Canada by educating and training of more than 2000 professional experts especially in municipality of Tehran, ministry of road and urban planning, metro lines, water, energy & environment management sectors, in cross country. Also he is leading many value engineering workshops to optimize and increase value index of mega projects. Since its implementation of Value Engineering method has achieved implemented savings almost $600 Million.

Amin is Founder and Member of Board, Kurit Omran Ariana (KOA) Eng. Corp.,(2011- 2018) and managing many mega mixed used urban projects including commercial, hospitality, office, residential and entertainment as a project manager. He also lead many big multi-disciplinary teams with a total Gross Floor Area of around 2 million sqm (e.g. a big development project in city of Tehran 1001 cities including theme park, shopping mall, water park with 1.2 million sqm). Amin has worked with the best international consultants in Europe and Middle East and extensively managed their contracts among the different stakeholders to achieve the desired deliverables. The recent project was to organize an international architectural and urban planning paid competition for NIGC- Gas Urban Village including head office, gas museum, conventional center and hotel. The Gross Floor Area (GFA) of that project is around 380,000 sqm.

Amin is now principal of Smart Phase One (SPO) Corp. and freelance consultant, and focusing on initial phase of civil projects since he thinks the most failure of any big projects happen in initial phase rather other life cycle phases and VE can help the client and all stakeholders to prevent this issue.

Amin with his wife and daughter are living in Canada (NB,ON) since 2013. He would like to promote VE in Canada extensively.

Stephen is an experienced VE specialist and facilitator who grew MTO's VE program into the most successful public agency VE program in Canada.  He has applied Value Analysis,  Risk Analysis, and Decision Analysis techniques to infrastructure, strategic planning, policy, and decision support. He has been recognized within government and by Value Societies for his accomplishments in innovation, risk analysis and value management.

Dr. Faisal Arain is an experienced Academic Leader and Architect with an MS and a Ph.D. in Construction Project Management. He received a postgraduate certificate from Harvard University, Boston, USA upon completion of the Leadership Development Program. He has extensive experience of working at management and leadership positions in the construction industry and academia in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Canada.  He led the development of Canada’s first Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management degree at SAIT in Calgary, Alberta and was appointed by the Saskatchewan Higher Education Quality Assurance Board (SHEQAB), Government of Saskatchewan, as the chair of quality review panel for new baccalaureate degree program evaluation.

Dr. Arain is currently the Vice President, Academic at the Northern Lakes College (NLC), Alberta, Canada.
