Bruce McCuaig Bruce McCuaig has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Metrolinx since September 4, 2010.
Bruce began his career in public service in 1984, and has worked in areas involving land use planning and policy, municipal policy, and transportation planning, policy and operations. He served in various capacities at the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for 10 years, as well as serving 15 years at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. His final role at the Ministry of Transportation was Deputy Minister, responsible for leading the 4,000 public servants who help to ensure Ontario’s transportation system is efficient and effective in safely moving people and goods across the Province.
As President & CEO of Metrolinx, Bruce is building a team that is committed to transforming transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, by building a customer service emphasis throughout the organization, delivering quality transportation infrastructure on time and on budget, and working collaboratively with our partners. Delivering on the promise of The Big Move, our award-winning regional transportation plan, is central to everything the organization does, and is demonstrated by our focus on expanding GO Transit, delivering the Union Pearson Express, deploying PRESTO, the regional smart card fare payment system, and building new transit services across the region, such as the Eglinton Crosstown LRT currently under construction.
Bruce graduated from Ryerson University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts (Urban and Regional Planning) degree, and from Queen’s University in 2000 with a Master of Public Administration degree.

John McBride John McBride was appointed as the inaugural CEO of PPP Canada by the Governor in Council on February 16, 2009. He has significant experience working with both the public and private sectors in infrastructure development and finance.
He previously held positions as Executive Vice-President of the Canadian International Development Agency (2007-2009) and as CEO of the Canadian Commercial Corporation (2005-2007).
He also held senior executive positions with Industry Canada, Treasury Board Secretariat and the Department of Finance, as well as with the Australian Government. He was awarded the Senate Medal from Carleton University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.

Ilse Treurnicht is the CEO of MaRS Discovery District, a leading innovation centre located in Toronto. She oversees both the development and operations of the MaRS Centre and its broad suite of entrepreneurship and innovation programs. Ilse joined MaRS in early 2005 from her role as President & CEO of Primaxis Technology Ventures, a startup-stage venture capital fund focused on the advanced technologies sector. Prior to Primaxis, she was an entrepreneur with senior management roles in a number of emerging technology companies. Ilse is an active member of Canada’s innovation community. She served as Chair of the Canadian Task Force on Social Finance in 2010, and is a member of the Science, Technology and Innovation Council (STIC). Ilse holds a DPhil in chemistry from Oxford University, which she attended as a Rhodes scholar. |

Gerry Chaput, P.Eng. Gerry Chaput, P.Eng., is the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) of Provincial Highways Management (PHM) Division at MTO. As a Division, PHM is recognized for its culture of delivery. Together, the branches and regions perform or oversee the planning, engineering, construction and maintenance of our 16,500+ km of provincial highways and 2700+ bridges and deliver the Ontario Government's largest capital construction program. Gerry shares Ontario's expertise with other Canadian and US jurisdictions as the current President of the Transportation Association of Canada and through his involvement with AASHTO – the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials. He is also a member of the ministry's senior management team. Prior to becoming ADM, Gerry was Chief Engineer and worked in various positions and locations within the province. Gerry is a graduate of Applied Science, civil discipline at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. |

Chris Gauer, P.Eng., AVS Chris Gauer is the Senior Vice President – Civil Infrastructure Delivery at Infrastructure Ontario. He has over 35 years’ experience working in the transportation field on major civil engineering projects. At Infrastructure Ontario, Chris is responsible for the Highways portfolio including the Rt. Honourable Herb Gray Parkway (Windsor), the two Highway 407 East extensions and the IO Viva BRT assignment with Metrolinx and York Region. His experience includes roles on both the delivery and the owner’s side of major alternative delivery projects. Chris played a major role in the delivery of P3 projects including the Fredericton to Moncton Highway in New Brunswick, the Highway 407 East and West Extensions for 407ETR near Toronto and the Southeast Anthony Henday Drive Edmonton Ring Road. As an Owner’s Engineer, Chris has advised York Region on the first four Viva BRT projects and the Province of Manitoba on their Design Build assignment for the CentrePort Canada Way. Chris has been involved in Value Management since 2001. He has worked in almost every Province of Canada on Transportation VE assignments for contractors and government sector clients. Chris is a Professional Engineer in Ontario and is an Advance Value Specialist with SAVE International. |

James Bolton Jim Bolton is a Certified Value Specialist-Life (CVS-Life), a Professional in Value Management (PVM), a Fellow of SAVE International (FSAVE), and currently the President of SAVE International. He is also currently the President and Owner of Bolton Value Consulting, established in August 2014 to support organizations whom are interested in improving the value they deliver to their customers and clients. Previously, Jim was the Design for Value Global Lead for Whirlpool Corporation where he developed a global Value Engineering and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly process within that corporation which he embedded into their Product Development Process for the company. He conducting numerous Module I Workshops globally where he was the advisor and mentor for over 250 certified AVS practitioners and where he developed a professional team of Regional Value Managers in every region where Whirlpool conducts business. |
